Well time for celibrations as i have made it to double digit days in the woods. Also a big change in weather. Wood stove is not needed today and i am able to save a bunch of time with that. The ground weeps with the frost and becomes soft again. I have found many many things under the snow and to have it cleaned up is a huge weight off my soul. I am excited as I wil be back worling my spot this afternoon. The morning was rough, i was not able to get to sleep until 4 am and woke up a couple hours ago. Brain operations leave you messed up sometimes. One of the biggest things that have to happen is making a train to my spot. then i can start bringing down some trees so i can build a log holder today. Haveing alot of anqour bolts and such so Hoping that it all works out. I am really hard on myself when it comes to messing up my mornings. Alot of self fhate when i fuck up sleep and dont wake up accordingly. I have many alarms but my broken brain sometimes just dosent wake up. Trust me, broken brain syndrome sucks.
Onto the good news, coffee is strong and the world is melting away the cold so I hold onto that to keep trugging through the harder hours. One thing that is really epic about having a catto is being able to leave the door open at night and have no real worries of aninamals coming in. That and making some squirrel soup is always on the menu. A bit of work but holy shit if you get the chance. Wood squirrel is very very good in soup.
The other thing that has become important to finish today is camp cleaning now that the general freeze is over. Mopming the floors and getting fly strips up to fight of the first breed of the season. Flys are the worst in a camp. They just appear and have no visual source.
Anyway I have to get along with my day.
Wishing you well
Your Friendly ginger from the Woods
