Day 9…… Pictures now updated on Day 9 Afternoon and nightly update.

Goodevening, the the day treated you well. Myself, bit of a slow morning but now that I have the basics organized things will operate much more efficently. Above is a picture from a spot i like to go and just sit and think. The river is crossable in deep winter and the summer as water levels are passable at that point. Poor Q-tip is worn out and he has become a loaf by the fireplace. As it should be as that catto had a big day with me today. Was the first time going that far in the woods with me. Listened well too, went a little far once or twice but a simple call brough his curious butt back.

One of the many thoughts i have had are what am I. I am in the sence that I should know but as the thoughts of life and its meaning. It comes to a point I dont think I know what I am. A man, of course, a Son, Yep, to like the best mom ever! What is my existence worthy of, have I earned the right to live is such a evolved body. We are a product of millions of years of death and life that brought us here. By far not saying that we need to be in a constant state of awe, that leads to the very problem I face with alot of people. Small mindedness, The world is a beautiful thing. I want the human race to see the sunset from another planet. To breath the air of a new earth we got to not out of need but want. Finding my reason for existence is not a task for humanity, I think we have failed to be human. Well at this point of applicable ability. We know how things work and we have a device that could make us all doctors. The thing is has it become social huberous to think we are always right in how we do things. Has the standard we live by become substandard to the growth we have made.

These things are beyond me as I am not theologist. Just do i need to be to see these things?

With that i hope the night finds you well,

In kindest regards

Your Friendly Ginger From The Woods.

    Hello again!

Have you encountered the Foxfire books (not to be confused with the Firefox web browser)? They started in the early 1970s as part sociology (recording Appalachian culture) and part back-to-the-earth living manual. I used to have book #3 and remember it fondly for very human stories and amazingly detailed diy (before diy was a thing). Might be worth checking out on the next rainy day.
