Good day, May the day find you in bliss.
The day is quite cold, -17 and the woodstove is being a bit hard to lite. However i managed to get it to 10 isn sthe camp and the coffee is strong. I have some prep work to do before i head out. A heavy breakfast is being cooked, the genarator is humming along and i have to think of what is the first thing i have to do. I will be heading over to my spot and take pics so i can record my progress there. To be able to see the work i have done so far. Alot is to be done. One thing I did to make sure was done is the two major beaver dams removed yesterday so I hope that the trails are not flooded. Even if so i can cross most of the parts that wewre flooded. Thankfully I have the buggy here. Though kinda breaking one of the rules i have for myself, i do not yet have the physical prowess to do some of the heaver things. How ever i have gain some progress in my physical ability.
Q-Tip my best catto ever was up most of the night hunting down some mice that attempted to find home in this camp. Though they are cute the damage those little buggers can cause is emmence, from chewing wires to getting into food supplies they can be devastating to survival. The biggest thing I will be facing today I hope is that the snow has melted enough to get my saw mill up and out of the snow so i can make some beams for stuctural support are cut. Wish me luck with that. Regarding animals I was told that a bob cat is prowling the property and that i should stay protected. So i take out my sword and sheild. with me. Thats, right, sword and sheild, will have to take a picture of both later so make a note of my protected life. Not saying i would not use a gun, i have many times in my life. I just dont have the desire to be so over handed per say when it comes to trying to become more of a man of the wild then not. Besides, more honor in dying by a wolf or bear then dying in a hospial surounded by family that you have not seen in years so when you die they can say they have no guilt. Or the doctors who just see a number and payment then a human. Nothing against doctors, they saved my life. Its that its become the outcome of socity that money, the root of all evil, is more important then fellowship. At least to me it seems that way,
However the day calls and hours are passing.
Wishing you well
Your friendly ginger from the woods
